Carcoal Anorak Jacket by I Love Ugly

Carcoal Anorak Jacket by I Love Ugly

10/10/2014

The original Anorak was native to the Inuit of the Artic region and was worn as a hunting jacket that had to be capable of weathering the harsh artic conditions.

The Greenlandic word anorak was adopted by the English during the 1920s and the jacket served as an important piece of clothing for soldiers during World War II because of its utility and minimal complication.

The I Love Ugly interpretation of the anorak is inspired by both the Artic and English versions with an emphasis on utility and of course style. Featuring an inset zipped chest pocket, double front pockets, concealed side stash pockets, side zipped split with Lady Leg detailing, fully lined hood (Beige Gingham), hood draw cords with leather toggles, waist draw cords and a new custom arm patch inspired by motorbike scene of the 60s.
